Arc de Triomphe

First commissioned by Napolean in the early 1800s, this Arch at one end of the Champs-Elysses has come to be a world recognized symbol of French national pride. From the top observation deck you can get a great view of most of the famous museums and landmarks of central Paris, as well as the city's main boulevard. In the middle of a circle which connects the major arteries of Paris, the only way to get to the Arch without getting hit by a car is to use one of the underground walkways.

Disneyland Paris

Despite its American roots, Disneyland Paris is the paradigm of European amusement parks. This 5,000 acre resort, one-fifth the size of Paris itself, is just 20 miles to the east from downtown Paris, and if you start early and allow yourself a full day, you can see a good bit of it. Your concierge can help you select from a variety of public transportation and hotel shuttle alternatives, or if you prefer, you can enjoy one of the excellent theme hotels right at the resort.

Notre-Dame de Paris

Notre-Dame indeed dates back to the 13th century and is one of the masterpieces of Gothic art in Western Europe.Its stainglasses & the huge interior are really stunning artistic experiences of mystical dimension.Located on the Cite island and surrounded by the Seine river, Notre-Dame is a flagship in the Parisian landscape and provides a magnificent view of the city from the top of its towers.

• Notre-Dame is the Paris Catholic cathedral since the Middle Ages.Maurice de Sully, the Paris bishop at the time, started its construction in 1163. Its building went on for two centuries. Most of the work (architects, sculptors) is anonymous.
• Notre-Dame is 130 meters long, 48 meters wide and 35 meters high. Its pillars have a diameter of up to 5 meters and its rose windows 10 meters. The twin towers culminate 69 meters and 386 stairs above the ground. The south tower houses the 13 tons Emmanuel bell.
• Notre-Dame is open from 8am to 12.30am and 2pm to 7pm on weekdays and from 8.30am to 12.30am and 2pm to 7pm on Sunday (free entrance).The towers and the archeological crypt can be visited. Save time and money using the Museum and Monument pass.Mass can be attended on weekdays,at 8am, 9am,12am,6.45pm, on Saturday, at 6.30pm, on Sunday, at 8am,8.45am, 10am (sung),11.30am, 12.30am, 6.30pm (with the bishop of Paris).

on the picture, do you remenber these gargoyles in the Walt Disney movie "The hunchback of Notre-Dame"? Very strange animals designed by Middle Ages sculptors and nice pieces of art which you best see by climbing up the stairs of Notre-Dame's northern.
